The Turning Point – Saturday, December 28

Greg Piccolo & Heavy Juice The Turning Point, Piermont, NY | Saturday, December 28

Greg Piccolo’s songs strike a universal chord, blending storytelling with instrumental finesse where every note and pause serves the song’s purpose.

Now well into 60 years of performing, Greg’s unwavering commitment to music has defined his career. His first 25 years with the world-renowned Roomful of Blues saw him evolve into lead singer, songwriter, bandleader, and a key contributor to the distinctive “Roomful sound.” In 1994, Greg left Roomful to pursue his own musical path, embracing a unique American Roots blend of traditional jazz, blues, and R&B.

Today, Greg remains anchored by his lifelong passion for music, delivering every song with purpose, clarity, and the aim of eliciting an emotional response. A typical Greg Piccolo performance showcases his versatility, from powerful tenor sax ballads and honking rock ’n’ roll to original R&B gems. Switching seamlessly to guitar, Greg highlights his distinguished vocals and a fresh, “less is more” guitar style.

A Greg Piccolo show offers a rare glimpse into the era when “sax was king,” universal themes set to music, and performances rich with exquisite instrumentation, clever songwriting, and heartfelt vocals.
